I'm taking Canteen's Five Peaks Virtual Challenge...

…a month-long challenge to cover 68km in March - the combined trail distance of Australia’s five highest peaks.

Every year, 23,000 young Australians face the mountain that is a cancer journey. Whether facing their own cancer diagnosis, or dealing with a loved one’s cancer journey, climbing that peak means feeling isolated, lost, exhausted, and confused.

It’s terrifying, and no one should face it alone. That’s why I’m challenging myself and I need your support!

I have supported Canteen and now we have received their support in time of need.

Wednesday 5th Feb
Back in the day I had a few businesses do well and we always supported canteen and bandana days. Fast forward some 29 years later and we have now been at the other end of that journey with Canteen where they have supported us and our children through a family cancer challenge.

It does my heart good to see what many years ago I donated to year after year now play out in support services for our family in a time of need.

The staff and the model are amazing. To have an agency on the phone that can just make things happen when you feel like you couldn’t walk another step well that alone can change the direction a life can go on. 

So now I’m back to supporting again for the next family who may need them, love canteen and what they stand for.
